Vivarium House Rules

1. The Chatham House Rule

The entire space operates under the Chatham House Rule. Participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.

2. Privacy & Media

Respect the privacy of others in the space. Any record intended for the public domain must be sanitized of identifying features. If you take photos or videos to share publicly:

• You must have secured explicit, informed consent from every individual in the frame.
• Otherwise, you must blur all faces before posting or sharing.

We prioritize the privacy of the collective over the vanity of the individual.

3. Access Control

Security is a shared responsibility.

• Do not open the door for people you do not know.
• If someone claims to be a member or an invited guest, do not let them in unless you have explicit verification.
• All guests must be registered and accompanied by a member.
• for subscription members: you can have a maximum of 1 guest at a time and need to be present in the space to host them.

4. Respect the Space

Leave the space better than you found it. while we have cleaners, please clean up your dishes, trash, and workspace. We are a community, not a serviced office.

5. No Selling, No Shilling

Vivarium is a sanctuary for builders and creators, not a marketplace for leads. Please refrain from unsolicited sales pitches, aggressive recruiting, or treating members as resources to be mined. Focus on genuine connection and collaboration.

6. Radical Autonomy

This is a member-driven space. If you see something that needs to be fixed, improved, or organized, take the initiative. We don't wait for permission to build a better environment; we just do it.

7. Community Contribution

We are all about helping each other and the free exchange of knowledge. If you see someone struggling, lend a hand. If someone needs feedback, offer it constructively. We rise by lifting others.

8. Revenue Share for Core Members

For internal members: 20% of all Vivarium monthly revenue over $30,000 is distributed among internal members based on your contribution to the space. This can be paid to you directly or used to cover your Vivarium fees.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent banning from our community.
